About our chef jacket
The double-breasted front is not decorative: it lets a chef reverse the panel mid-service to hide a stain, and the doubled layer across the chest provides a barrier against heat and splashes from the line. We finish it with a mandarin or open collar, a thermometer pocket on the left sleeve, and knotted or press-stud closures depending on preference.
Kitchens launder at high temperature, so we specify a poly-cotton twill that holds colour and resists shrinkage through commercial washing while staying breathable enough to wear beside an oven. Mesh vent panels at the back and underarm can be added for hot-line stations, and embroidery on the chest and collar is applied with heat-stable thread.
